Sydney’s iconic Bondi Pool and Icebergs are frequented by visiting tourists and celebrities for it’s Instagram-worthy view, but the stunning seaside locale’s had a makeover this week thanks to Australian-born beauty and wellness supplements brand Swisse.

The heritage brand reinstated the Bondi sunshine, giving the natural, sea-water pool a mid-winter glow up in honour of Swisse’s Glow ingestible supplements range, which is all about boosting skin’s hydration from the inside out.

Earlier this week a ginormous vile of Swisse Beauty Collagen + Hyaluronic Acid Booster supplements was spotted on TikTok, perched on the roof of Bondi Icebergs against the backdrop of Sydney in the throes of a cold, gloomy, winter’s day. Diving into the pool, Swisse made a big splash and revealed the Swisse Glow World, which looked like a scene from the Barbie movie — blue skies, palm trees and luxurious beach decor — all that was missing was a Ken who does ‘Beach’.

Introducing: Swisse Glow World

On Thursday, Swisse Beauty brought the digital concept to life in collaboration with Chemist Warehouse, kicking off a two-day Bondi Glow Up featuring a Dive into Glow installation filling the Bondi Pool, and the Swisse Glow World activated IRL, glowing up Bondi locals and beach goers who were keen to get their summer on in the middle of winter. The pool’s picturesque views of the Australian coastline, were punctuated with beach umbrellas and yoga mats in varying shades of sunrise yellow and orange, when Swisse opened the pool to Sydney influencers and the public for sea-side sun salutations and smoothies.

What is a hyaluronic acid supplement and what does it do?

Fun fact: Swisse was the first brand to introduce hyaluronic acid supplements to Australia in 2021, becoming pioneers in the ingestible hydration space.

“As we age, hyaluronic acid levels in our body start to decline, resulting in a loss of moisture and elasticity,” the brand shared via a press statement. “While creams and serums can only penetrate the skin’s surface so far, the Swisse Beauty Glow Range has been formulated with ingestible Hyaluronic Acid, which has been proven to increase skin hydration in just six weeks. Today, Swisse Beauty’s Hyaluronic Acid supplements remain the top-selling products in the category, helping Australians achieve hydrated skin from within.”

The Swisse Beauty Hyaluronic Acid Glow range is available to purchase at Chemist Warehouse, and the brand offers tablets and powder to suit a myriad of lifestyles.

Prefer tablets? Try: Swisse Beauty Collagen + Hyaluronic Acid Booster Tablets ($34.99 from Chemist Warehouse). Each tablet contains sodium hyaluronate (a salt form of hyaluronic acid), hydrolysed collagen, vitamin C and E, and zinc, helping to give the appearance of hydrated, firm, healthy and radiant skin.

If adding an ingestible powder to water or a smoothie is more your thing then you’ll like Swisse Beauty Marine Collagen Skin Hydration Powder, which promises all the same benefits as a tablet, but there’s the option of Unflavoured ($35.99 from Chemist Warehouse) and Yuzu ($27.99 from Chemist Warehouse) — which can be used to make spicy yuzu mocktails — to choose from depending on your flavour preferences.
